Not Just Words is the idea of Laurent Sfumat, Active Member of the Swiss Association of Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters (ASTTI). After his business studies in Switzerland, Laurent moved to the United States where he graduated in international business a few years later. When he came back to Europe, he was hired as a website editor. After that first experience in content writing, he joined the World Economic Forum (Davos Forum). He became responsible for publishing short biographies of Forum conference participants and then took part in writing and editing session summaries. In 2002, he decided to go back to school and moved to Italy, where he later started a freelance translation business and specialized in technical texts. He translated dozens of patents in fields such as electronics, mechanics, biochemistry and optics. He also translated numerous technical guides in various sectors such as building and the automobile industry. When he returned in Switzerland, he launched www.notjustwords.info.
